Add a sweet and filling dessert option to your menu at home with these tasty baked apples. Share with friends and family for a great end to a meal.


4 medium Apples, Fuji or Honeycrisp recommended
1/4 cup Brown Sugar
1/4 cup Old-Fashioned Rolled Oats
1/2 tsp Cinnamon
1/4 tsp Nutmeg
1 tbsp Butter
1 cup Hot Water


1. Preheat oven to 375°F.

2. Using an apple corer or paring knife, carefully remove apple cores, leaving 1/4 to 1/2 inch at the bottom of the apple, creating a well.

3. In a small bowl mix brown sugar, cinnamon, oatmeal, and nutmeg together.

4. Divide mixture into 4 equal parts and firmly pack filling into the apples.

5. Place apples in a baking dish and top 1/4 tbsp butter. Pour hot water into baking dish and cover loosely with foil.

6. Let bake for 20 minutes and remove foil. Continue baking for 20 to 30 minutes more, or until the apples are soft and the brown sugar has melted.
